Seattle, Washington to Madrid, Spain
Sunday, March 19th, 2023 - Monday, March 20th, 2023
I am traveling to Spain again to walk/hike the Camino de Santiago. I will be again on the French Way of the Camino. My mode of transportation to Spain consists of two flights. Seattle to Amsterdam on a packed Delta flight and then a KLM flight to Madrid, another packed but shorter flight. I didn't sleep a wink on the flight over the pond (Atlantic Ocean). I think the seats are getting smaller. Movies entertained me as I counted the nine hours of flying to Europe. Watched Ticket to Paradise, That Thing You Do, Overboard (1987), and part of Happy Gilmore.
After arriving at the Madrid airport, I traveled by train to the Atocha Train Station. I then walked to my hotel, a few blocks away. It was very close to the Reina Sofia Museum. Before I leave Spain I would like to visit the Pablo Picasso Guernica painting on display at this museum. Mark said we saw it together, 40 years ago, but I don't remember it. With my flight and the time change, it is now Monday afternoon.
I showered, ate dinner, did some laundry, and repacked my bags. It's 5pm and I'm going to bed. I haven't slept in 24 hours.
